Rise & Shine Yoga (Gentle Vinyasa)

Please call or email to pre-register the night before by 8PM

Restorative

This type of yoga is a practice of passive healing. By allowing time for longer asanas (postures or poses) using props such as blocks, bolsters, blankets, etc. and deeper breathing, restorative yoga helps elicit the relaxation response . This response can help slow breathing, reduce blood pressure, and produce a feeling of calm and increased well-being. Through the use of props for support, many of the postures are held almost effortlessly. This class is suitable for all levels.

Soft Vinyasa

Synchronize breath with movement giving every area of your body some love and attention all while building strength and increasing mobility.

Yin

Yin Yoga is a slow-paced, therapeutic style of yoga. Yin postures are more passive postures, mainly done on the floor either seated or lying down. There are no sun salutations, no planks, no warriors, no jump throughs! There is in fact no dynamic movement and usually no standing poses at all. Yin Yoga is unique in that you are asked to relax into the posture, allowing the body to soften and release naturally without pushing or straining. It is not uncommon for postures to be held for three to five minutes, even 10 minutes at a time. The time spent in these postures is much like time spent in meditation, as the mind shifts from yang to yin, or from active to passive.

Power Down

Looking for the perfect combo of sweat and cool-down? Look no further! We’ll start off with strong poses, moving at a fairly brisk pace, allowing you to sweat off the stress of the day. Then, we’ll transition into a generous sequence of stretching, before finishing off with savasana to shift you into bedtime mode. Because this class will be starting off at a fast pace, we require yoga experience and familiarity with basic poses. Experience required.

Flow To Floor

Your instructor will guide you through a series of active FLOWS in the first half of class to wake and warm up the body. The FLOOR half of the class offers passive, seated and supine poses to switch off your fight-or-flight mode encouraging balance throughout and allowing for a sense of peace and relaxation. You are going to LOVE this class! Basic yoga experience recommended.

Sunday Devotion

Yoga is not a religion. It is a science, a philosophy, a spiritual and a physical practice. Although the word Devotion might make most people think of a religious, worship connotation, we use its other definition; love, loyalty or enthusiasm for a person, activity or cause. Dana will work on helping those that are in a place of unknowingness to understand their purpose and experience the benefits. Her purpose with this class is to make it an hour of people devoted to themselves, and having faith that this devotion benefits their own well-being. In return, the people around them will benefit from their well being (higher vibration). On a physical level this class is suitable for all levels.

Chair Yoga

Chair yoga is a practice that modifies yoga poses so that they can be done while seated in a chair. The class is perfect for beginners, students with various physical limitations, or those who find other types of yoga classes rather challenging.
